The mind-body connection works by the feedback loop between your body and your mind. The way that you feel influences the way that you think and vice versa. The mind-body connection is the communication between your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. While you might think of your feelings as something that exists in your mind, the word “feeling” implies a physical sensation. Your feelings are a bodily experience. All of your feelings have bodily sensations that define them. Today, we explore the fascinating relationship between our bodies, minds and emotions.
How To Focus Attention
Focused attention is a powerful ingredient in the recipe for personal effectiveness.
And yet, it seems to be so hard to practice it despite its inevitable benefits.
Today, we will take a deep dive into defining what focus is, how you can cultivate it, and why focusing might not be your biggest challenge but making sound decisions and multi-tasking are.
I am excited to hear your insights!
WELCOME!
Addiction & Consumption
This week, we explore addiction and, in particular, addiction to consumption.
What are your essentials in life and what are your “add-ons”?
Where might you lose yourself in the world of consumption?
How does addictive consumption affect your physiology and deregulate your nervous system?
How can we mindfully manage our hyperactive minds, vaping, smartphones, online shopping, technology, our craving for love, attention, sex and connection?
How do we get hooked and what can we do about it?
Excited to share this session with you today. Thank you for being here!

Patience
Why is it so difficult to have patience in life? What makes some people more apt to be patient while others get untied at the seams and have zero patience?
We’ll discuss how this quality was either supported and developed in childhood or not and how to find out if you were parented in a way to support this quality. I’ll share some research about 6 ways to raise patient kids today.
PLUS, I’ll share FOUR reasons to cultivate patience and how patience can literally change your physiology.
Enjoy!
Neutrality and Feelings
This week, we explore the meaning of the word neutrality in the context of Mind-Body Alignment.
Is it possible to experience life from the standpoint of neither pleasant nor painful but mostly as neutral? What does the term “neutral” awaken within you? Does it sound cold, boring, or disconnected?
Is there a possibility to befriend this quality of neutrality to nurture a foundation of inner peace, calm and personal inquiry?
My tête-à-tête with COVID in December of 2021, initiated a “come to Jesus” moment with neutrality.
Could I be this sick and still appreciate the life force running through me?
What if not every feeling had to be about hoping to get better but instead just being with what was?
What was this painful experience wanting to teach me? Was I willing to listen?
9 months or so later, I can feel the benefits of befriending neutrality.
To let go of the feelings that bring me huge highs and deep lows and ask myself, “where do these feelings come from, anyway?”
A lot of the time, they’re just patterns of conditioning. Positive or negative interpretations can be a conditioning of the mind and of our environment.
Being sick did not rip my inner light from me, my excitement for life, or my natural disposition toward happiness.
It did bring me to my knees and had me sit at the bottom of the ocean floor where I could just observe without needing to want, grasp, shift, adjust or change anything.
Neutrality has become a new sort of Super Power; a teacher of deep wisdom.
We had a very lively and interesting Sacred Circle of Creation today.
Enjoy and THANK YOU for being here!
Navigating Difficult Conversations
This week, we explore how to navigate difficult conversations mindfully and skillfully. I discuss how honesty, creating a healthy distance and starting with focusing on yourself are essential to this critical process. I also share examples of some case studies from clients who have recently reached out to me for support in their process. This is an important session that, I hope, can be of support to you too!
Family Ties & our human need to belong
Today, we embrace and embark upon the topic of Family Ties & our human innate sense to belong. What does family mean to you? What does belonging mean to you? I am on a road trip visiting and spending some quality time with some of my family members. I am always amazed at just how much we resemble one another…
Moving Forward: Mind Body Spirit Evolution
As a baseline for today’s discussion, I am using the late theologian, mystic, and Harvard professor, Howard Thurman’s two important questions:
1) Where am I going?
2) Who will go with me?
We are in a HUGE transitional stage of life on planet earth. Everything is changing around us. Norms that once were accepted as mainstays are now being brought to the fore, questioned, and examined with new eyes, sensations, and awareness.
Always starting with the “Self”, where are you at this pivotal time in our Her/history? Where are you going? Who is going with you? How is your body-mind adjusting?
I hope you enjoy 😉
On Death & Dying
This week, we revisit Frank Ostaseski’s Five Invitations when it comes to the topic of Death & Dying:
#1) Don’t wait.
#2) Welcome everything, push away nothing
#3) Bring your whole self to the experience.
#4) Find a place of rest in the middle of things.
#5) Cultivate the ‘don’t know’ mind.
We will expand our conversation to include Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’ five stages of grief and her profound insights on the same subject. Enjoy!
On Death & Dying
Today, we delve into the topic of Death & Dying. We recently lost one of our beloved family members and it seems appropriate to explore this sensitive and unavoidable topic together in our Sacred Circle of Creation at our weekly facebook live Q&A’s. Death is our absolute proof that we have lived a life. The question is, how do we live our one precious life? How do we make each moment count even when we feel depleted, alone and disconnected? Hoping that today’s short video can bring healing and hope to you.
How To De-escalate Confrontation
This week, I expand upon my unfortunate experience from last week of being assaulted on a NY train. We answer the questions:
- What do you do when you get into an unexpected confrontation?
- How do you NOT lose your temper and make a potentially bad situation worse?
- How do you react?
- Do you have the tools to manage yourself to avoid getting hurt or hurting anyone else?
I offer practical tips and tools to assist you in regulating your nervous system and invite you to explore possibilities in how to take better care of yourself.
Taking Things Personally
This week we delve into the topic of Taking Things Personally. How can taking things personally help us to notice how much energy we invest in what others think about us and how toxic this practice can be? On the other hand, taking things personally can sometimes help get in touch with our anger. A totally exciting exploration from both sides. And for you, how does Taking Things Personally help or hurt you?
